Device ID

  1. Open the .inf file for the print driver.

    Note: This can be found in the \Drivers\Print\GDI folder of the installation package.

  2. Find the driver.

    The Device ID is the value following USBPRINT\.

Driver name

  1. Run the Package Builder.

  2. Follow the instructions on the computer screen until the Configure Print Driver screen appears.

  3. Click the “Available drivers” drop-down menu to view the list of supported drivers.

Features available for the printer

  1. Run the Package Builder.

  2. Follow the instructions on the computer screen until the Additional Software screen appears.

    The features supported by the printer appear.

Model name

This is the driver name without the data stream suffix.

Example:

Driver name: Printer yyyy XL

Model name: Printer yyyy

Note: For most products, the first dialog shows the model name in the title bar.

Example: Printer yyyy Package Builder

OEM name

This is typically the manufacturer name. All supported OEM products are listed in the License Agreement screen of the Package Builder.

Stream

  1. Run the Package Builder.

  2. Follow the instructions on the computer screen until the Configure Print Driver screen appears.

  3. Select the driver, and then follow the instructions on the computer screen until the Print Object Summary screen appears.

    The Steam value for the selected driver is shown in the Data Stream column.
