Creating the ComponentTargetDir section

The ComponentTargetDir section lets you specify where the software components will be installed on the target computer.

Note:

Make sure to include the ComponentTargetDir section when creating scripts.

Key	Description
InstallDir	This is the fully qualified path specifying where components will be installed.

Notes:

The components ignore the InstallDir value when the operating system requires the installation of some software, such as print and scan drivers, in specific locations.
On a 64-bit computer, some components may be installed in an x86 directory as recommended by Microsoft.
